Hello and thank you for visiting my website! A little bit of my background: I was born around Moscow, Russia, on December 6, 1997. My parents, who are both biology candidates, worked at a forest reserve near the city. I quickly developed a love for the environment, which came from being surrounded by nature. Growing up, I was also traveling a lot between Russia and America. My parents decided to permanently move around 2013, and I began high school in Doylestown, a small city near Philadelphia. The change in culture and my background initially made me feel excluded from a lot of social events and groups, never really fitting in or feeling at home. So traveling, as well as art and reading, were always an outlet for me to meet new people and make friends before I adapted to American culture and went to college. In this blog, I will be documenting my experiences of traveling, studying, and working both in America as well as abroad. I will also write about general life advice and my personal views on certain topics or other ideas that I am thinking about, please feel free to reach out to me with any suggestions or questions!
The initial decision to start this website came in 2019 during my environmental engineering internship at SRH Hochschule in Berlin. Before this, my parents have always been persuading me to use my writing and art skills in my personal life. Kirsten Matthes, the head of international services at the university, has advised me to document my work experience and has also persuaded me to create this blog. Alexa Curtis, who started a blog at only 12 years old and now is an inspiration to young entrepreneurs everywhere, is one of my role models and pushes me to view each of my failures as a success. I am greatful to all of the people who push me to be the best version of myself every day!
Thank you again for reading and I hope you enjoy my writing!
